Basic Travel Bank Questions

What is a Travel Bank account and why do I have one? 
Travel Bank is an online account that allows customers to manage their travel credits with JetBlue. You may have a Travel Bank account if a credit was issued to you or if a crewmember created one for you in advance in order to receive any future credits.

How do I access my Travel Bank account? 
You should have received a welcome email* from Travel Bank with your login information. Use this login information every time you want to access your Travel Bank account. If you did not receive this email, please call our reservations center at 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583).

Note: Customers will receive two separate welcome emails; one containing the account number and username, and another containing the account password. Passwords are sent in a tokenized email and the link expires after 24 hours. Travel Bank accounts which are linked to a TrueBlue account can be reset by logging into your TrueBlue account.

Do my credits expire? 
Most credits are good for one year from the date of issuance, unless noted otherwise. You can view each credit’s expiration date on your Travel Bank statement. When you use funds from your Travel Bank account, credits with the soonest expiration date will be used first. All credits are good until 11:59 p.m. of the expiration date. Also keep in mind, travel need not be completed by the credit expiration date, but the credit used as payment on a new reservation by then.

Note: If you receive a refund on a flight that was originally paid for with JetBlue travel credit (for full or partial payment), the expiration date for these funds will revert back to the original expiration date of the credits that were used to purchase the flight.

Example: I booked a flight for February 10, 2017 and I used travel credit that was going to expire March 29, 2017 to pay for it. I was unable to take the flight and called to cancel. After paying the cancel fee, the remaining funds were placed back into my Travel Bank. The expiration date of that credit will be the original date, March 29, 2017.

How do I know how many credits I have in my Travel Bank account? 
You can easily view your current balance and previous transactions on your Travel Bank statement. You can also call our reservations center at 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583) to get this information.

Can JetBlue travel credit be used for JetBlue Vacations packages?
JetBlue travel credit may only be used towards the air-portion of a JetBlue Vacations Package.

Can we refund an Interline/Codeshare booking to Travel Bank?
If any itinerary includes a segment not operated by JetBlue then the funds MAY NOT be placed in a Travel Bank. When cancelling an Interline/Codeshare PNR, the money associated with the PNR will remain in the VCR, and the coupons will remain in OK status for 12 months from the date of issue. This enables the other airline/travel agent to have access to the credit when the Customer is ready to rebook.

A good indication that you are speaking to a Customer with an Interline/Codeshare booking is hearing discussion about non-BlueCities.


Can we use Travel Bank to book an Interline/Codeshare PNR?
If any itinerary includes a segment not operated by JetBlue then funds from Travel Bank MAY NOT be used. The Customer has the option to book separate reservations with both airlines or to pay for the combined booking with a credit card.


Travel Bank passwords

How do I get my Travel Bank ID and password? 
You should have received an email* with your Travel Bank login information. If you did not receive this email, please call our reservations center at 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583) for assistance.

How do I log in to my Travel Bank account? 
Click here and enter the Login ID and password provided in your Travel Bank welcome email(s).

What’s the difference between my Travel Bank account number, profile number and ID number? What do I use to log in? 
Think of it this way: John Doe is a customer at BlueBank. His customer number is 12345 and his checking account number is 8279000228287. Your profile number is similar to the customer number, and the Travel Bank number similar to the checking account number. Typically, the ID number (for logging in) is the same as your profile number. TrueBlue members will log in to Travel Bank with their TrueBlue credentials.

I want to be able to view my credit. The Travel Bank system will not accept my password.  How can I access that information? Can I reset my password?  
Log into your TrueBlue account and select 'Forgot Password'. A link will be emailed to you which will allow you to change your password. If you forgot your password and don't have a TrueBlue account, please call our reservations center at 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583) to have it resent to you.

I received an error when I entered my password: "Field password must be all alphanumeric". What does that mean? 
Passwords can only contain letters and numbers. Special characters (i.e. !#$@*, etc) are not allowed. In addition, the following parameters apply:

  • Must be between 8 and 20 characters - you will be prompted to change your TrueBlue login password or continue as a guest if your current password does not meet the new requirements 
  • Are case sensitive
  • Cannot contain a Q or Z
  • Must contain at least one letter and one number
  • Cannot use proper names
  • Cannot contain three repeating character
  • Cannot contain special characters or symbols (such as !#$@*, etc)

Travel Bank and TrueBlue

What’s the difference between Travel Bank and TrueBlue login? Are they the same? Can I use my TrueBlue login ID and password? 
Yes. If you're a TrueBlue member, you can access your Travel Bank account with the same login credentials you use to access your TrueBlue account.

Can I view my Travel Bank credit in my TrueBlue account? 
While logged in to your TrueBlue account, you can access your Travel Bank account by clicking the “View credits” link (located under the “Recent activity” section) and logging in with your TrueBlue credentials.

 


How to use JetBlue Travel Credits

Can I view my JetBlue travel credit online if I don't have a TrueBlue account?
Yes. You can access your Travel Bank account on jetblue.com or click here.

How do I use my travel credit on a new booking? Can I use it online and over the phone? 
When booking online at jetblue.com, you'll have the option to use your JetBlue travel credit during the payment portion of the booking. You'll be able to view the balance of your account and indicate how much of those funds you want to apply to the current booking. You'll need your TrueBlue or Travel Bank login information to access those funds. You can also use Travel Bank as a form of payment when booking through 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583).

I want to use a credit card and a JetBlue travel credit. How do I do this? 
When booking online at jetblue.com, you'll have the option to choose Travel Bank as a form of payment during the payment portion of the booking. Simply apply your Travel Bank account funds first, and then enter the credit card information to cover any remaining balance.

I need to change my reservation. Can I use my travel credit to pay for changes in airfare and change/cancel fees? 
You can use your JetBlue travel credit to pay for changes in airfare and the change/cancel fee that goes with it. However, your travel credit cannot be used to pay for the following:

  • Change/cancel fees on TrueBlue Point bookings
  • Same-day change fees
  • Ancillary fees including unaccompanied minor fees, Even More Space, Even More Speed, pet fees, excess baggage fees, etc.

I forgot I had a credit and booked a new reservation. Can you apply my credit and give me a refund? 
Yes, if the credit was issued prior to booking, please call our reservations center at 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583) prior to your scheduled travel for assistance.

I have multiple Travel Bank accounts, all under my name, can I use them all?
Yes, please call our reservations center at 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583) for assistance.

Each member of my family has a Travel Bank account. How do we use our JetBlue travel credits on our next reservation? 
Each family member can use their travel credit by booking individually online at jetblue.com or by calling our reservations center at 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583). Family members may not combine travel credits.

Can I choose to only use partial Travel Bank funds?
Yes, at the "Use Travel Bank credit" screen at checkout, select to manually enter the amount you wish to apply.
