Instructions for booking a JetBlue air-only reservation



 
Booking online

To buy a ticket online, press the "book flights" option on the mini-booker. There are a few simple steps to follow:

Step One

  • Choose Roundtrip, One-Way or Multi-City. Note: to book multi-city travel, book two (2) one-way reservations or call 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583)  
      • if you're traveling on an international flight, proof of return or onward ticket may be required at the time of check in.
  •  Select your departure and destination cities by clicking on 'Where from?' and 'Where to?'
  •  Select your departure and return dates by clicking on 'Date to leave?' and 'Date to return?'
  • From the pull-down lists, select the number of adults over the age of 14, the number of children between 2 and 13 years of age, and the number of infants younger than 2 years of age  traveling as a lap child.
  • Choose they fare type: Blue, Blue Plus, Blue Flex, Refundable, or TrueBlue Points
  • Click on "Find flights"
    • Note: Only a limited number of flight options are displayed online. For more options, please call 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583).

Step Two: Select your flights

  • Select your itinerary by clicking on the small white circle next to the price. Make sure you choose a flight for both outbound and return if you are traveling roundtrip.
  • You can also check prices for different days that week. To move ahead or back a week, click the "prev 7" and "next 7" buttons.
  • On the right hand side of the page, your itinerary is displayed along with what you will be paying.
  • Click on "Continue" on the right hand side, bottom of the page.
  • If you didn't find what you were looking for on the first try, click on "Edit search" on the left hand side, bottom of the page to perform another flight search.

Step Three: Who's Traveling? 

  • Enter the names of all persons traveling on this itinerary.
  • TSA Secure Flight Information: the names of travelers should be entered as they appear on government issued forms of identification. Fields indicated with and asterisk <*> are required fields.
  • The Primary Traveler will be contacted in the case of any service changes and will receive any credits for cancelled or changed flights. Select the method by which you would like to receive your itinerary (email or fax).
  • Click on "Continue" on the right hand side, bottom of the page.

Step Four

  • Here’s your itinerary and what you will be paying.
  • Look it over to make sure it’s right. Please take time to read the Fare Rules before checking the box -- read before you click!
  • Click on “confirm itinerary” on the right hand side, bottom of the page.

Step Five

  • Select the credit card type and enter the name of the credit card holder, the credit card number, and expiration date. Note: you can only use one credit card when booking online.
  • Then click on the “purchase” button to buy the selected ticket(s). You will then receive your confirmation. You may now select seats and print out your itinerary.
  • To select seats, click on "select your seat." A diagram of the plane/seat map will appear. Choose from available seats, and remember, you need to do this twice if you have a round-trip -- once for the outbound flight and again for your return flight for each person traveling.

JetBlue air-only Reservations

You may book a reservation online (up to seven customers) at jetblue.com, or by phone at 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583) (up to nine customers) or HEARING OR SPEECH IMPAIRED: TTY/TDD 711. TrueBlue members who book online at jetblue.com will receive additional TrueBlue points based on the fare option selected.  Click here for more information.

If you are booking more than nine customers (Group Booking) on one reservation, please call 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583) for assistance.


Entering international addresses online

If you are entering an international address that does not have a zip code or postal code that does not match the format for United States zip codes, enter numbers (e.g., 11111 or 22222) into the zip code field since this is a required field. Click the "continue" button and then select "OK" to proceed to the next screen.
