Can I check in for both my outbound and return flight?

Check in is only available within 24 hours of departure and no less than 90 minutes prior to departure.

You must go through the Online Flight Check-in process separately for each flight.

Can I go back or restart once I'm finished with Online Check-in?

Yes. Once the check-in is complete, you can go back and change/upgrade seat, purchase extras, add a TrueBlue number and Known traveler number, as well as reprint boarding pass.

Can I select or change my seat assignment while using Online Check-in?

In order to select your seat you must select Change Seats from the itinerary screen. That will take you into the seat map where you can change the seat for anyone checking-in with you by selecting their name.

Please keep in mind that you can check in online 24 hours in advance, but no less than 90 minutes prior to, your flight’s scheduled departure time.

Can I still use Online Check-in if I bought my ticket through a travel agency?

You can use Online Flight Check-in if you know your departure city and 6-digit JetBlue confirmation number.

If you do not have this information, please check in with a JetBlue crewmember at the airport.

If you booked through your travel agent and are unable to view your booking on, please feel free to call 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583) for assistance.

Can I use Online Check-In if I am checking a second bag?
Customers are eligible to check-in and pay for up to 9 bags per person during your online check-in.

Can I use Online Check-in if I am checking my baggage?
You may check in online even if you have bags to check. During the check-in process you will be asked how many bags each customer is checking in. Upon arrival at the airport, you will need to take your bags to the designated bag drop location where the JetBlue crewmember will print your bag tags and attach you bag tag numbers to your boarding pass.

Do I have to be a TrueBlue Member to use Online Check-in?

You are not required to be a TrueBlue member to use Online Flight Check-in. If you are not a TrueBlue member, you will need your confirmation number and departure city to use Online Flight Check-in. However, TrueBlue members earn Award travel for traveling on JetBlue and do not need to know their booking confirmation number in order to use Online Flight Check-in.

Eligibility for Online Check In

Online flight check-in is available if you have a confirmed reservation. You can check in online 24 hours in advance, but no less than 90 minutes prior to your flight’s scheduled departure time.

During the check in process at the ticket counter, you will be asked how many bags each customer is checking in. Your bagtag numbers will be printed on your boarding pass. Upon arrival at the airport, you will need to take your bags to the designated bag drop location. The JetBlue crewmember will print your bagtags and you may then proceed to the security checkpoint.

How do I reprint my boarding pass online?
Steps for reprinting your boarding pass online:
  • Go to
  • Click on Manage your flights
  • Enter your Last name and Confirmation Code
  • Once the your flight has been found, click on Check-in button
  • Select Print Boarding pass from the menu

How do I use Online Check-in?

You can check in for your flight up to 24 hours in advance, but no less than 90 minutes prior to your flight's scheduled departure time.

  • Enter your TrueBlue email and password or enter your confirmation code and last name

Need step-by-step help? Read on!

  • Once you've entered the information requested to start the process you will be presented with traveler selection screen, where you will select a person or multiple people checking-in for the flight
  • Next, you will be asked to accept the hazardous materials rules. Read the hazardous materials questions very carefully and select check box confirming your understanding of the restrictions
  • Your itinerary screen will be presented next. From this screen you can select to change your seats or purchase any available extras. If you want to skip the seat/extras selection, you may click “Continue”
  • In the "bags to check" screen, you will be asked whether you are planning on checking bags. If your answer is ‘Yes”, you will be prompted to add bags on the next screen.
  • By clicking “Continue” you will be prompted to print your boarding pass.
  • If there are any fees due you will be asked to provide payment information, upon which the receipt will be provided.
  • You have now successfully completed your online check-in! When you get to the airport, just take your bags to the bag drop location to have your bagtags printed and you can then go to the security checkpoint. Have a great trip!

What are the benefits of Online Check-in?

Online Flight Check-in allows you to check in for JetBlue flights from your home or office computer, so that when you arrive at the airport you can go directly to the designated bag drop or security checkpoint and to your gate.

With Online Flight Check-in, you can also assign, confirm and change seat assignments before going to the airport.

The Online Flight Check-in process is simple, fast and secure.

What do I do after I print my boarding pass?

After you have checked in online, bring your boarding documents with you to the airport. If you have bags to check proceed to the bag drop area. If you are not checking any bags you may proceed directly to the security checkpoint.

Each customer must have a boarding pass and government issued photo identification to pass through the security checkpoint.

As gate assignments are subject to change, please verify your flight’s gate assignment at the airport on the Flight Information Display monitors throughout the terminal.

What do I do if I have troubles with Online Check-in?

If the system is unable to process your Online Flight Check-in request or you experience trouble printing your boarding documents, please check in with a JetBlue crewmember at the airport so that your boarding pass can be printed.

If you mistakenly enter incorrect information, you can abort the online flight check in process; however, after three times you will be locked out.

What happens if I check in online, but cannot make my flight?

To avoid a no-show and forfeiting the value of your fare, you may either uncheck yourself online or at an airport kiosk (allowing you to make any necessary changes) or contact our Reservations team at 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583) prior to your flight's scheduled departure.

Please note: Regular fees will apply to any change or cancellation made with our Reservation team.

What if there are no seats available for me to select?
If there are not any seats available to select when you check in for your flight, it doesn't mean that you won't have a seat. It simply means that the only seats left to assign must be assigned at the airport. Please check in with a JetBlue crewmember at the airport to receive your seat assignment.

What should I do if I lose my boarding documents?

If you lose your boarding documents, you may take one of the following steps to obtain a new boarding pass:

  • Check in with a JetBlue Crewmember at the airport
  • Go online at to "Manage flights" , then select Print boarding pass
  • Use a kiosk at the airport


Who is not eligible to use Online Check-in?
If you meet any of the following criteria, you will not be able to check in online and will need to check in at a JetBlue ticket counter:
  • Traveling on a group reservation in a party of 10 or more
  • Standby customers who do not have a confirmed reservation
  • Unaccompanied minors
  • Customers who have requested additional assistance upon check in
  • Customers who have purchased an extra seat
  • Customers bringing an extra bag or extra baggage on their flight
In addition to the criteria above, customers may not be able to use the remote check-in process due to security directives issued by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) . Please check in at the airport ticket counter where a JetBlue Customer Service Agent will assist you.
