Forms of Payment for Flights Within the U.S.

Credit Cards

We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover Card, American Express, Diners Club and UATP. Debit cards are accepted with one of the above-listed symbols on them.

If you prefer to pay with cash, personal check, traveler's check or money order, you may contact a travel agent or book your reservation at the airport. Be sure to check the airport for the specific hours of operation.

Please note: we currently do not accept payments of two or more credit cards online for a single reservation. If you need to pay with two or more credit cards or multiple forms of payment for your reservation, please contact us at 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583). Customers with hearing or speech impairments can call our toll-free TTY/TDD telephone number, 1-800-336-5530.

Personal Checks

Effective July 1, 2011, JetBlue will no longer accept Checks as a Form of Payment at our Airport ticket counters or City Ticket Offices (CTOs). This new process applies both domestically and internationally and will apply to Personal Checks, Business Checks, Cashier Checks and Money Orders. 

Please note that we still accept Traveler's Checks which are treated as cash.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. With our desire to provide outstanding service, we encourage our customers to use Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Cash, or Traveler’s Checks in order to expedite payment and service.

Traveler's Checks

Traveler’s checks should be signed in front of a JetBlue airport crewmember. If your check is not signed in front of a JetBlue airport crewmember, a driver's license or passport will be required for signature verification.

Money Orders

Effective July 1, 2011, JetBlue will no longer accept Money Orders. 

Bill Me Later®

PayPal™

PayPal™ is the safer, easier way to pay online. Speed through checkout whenever you shop online. Plus, pay with your credit card without exposing your credit card number.


Western Union®

JetBlue has teamed up with Western Union® to accept cash for JetBlue flights. Simply call us at 1-800-JETBLUE or go online at jetblue.com, choose to pay with Western Union® and your booking will be placed on hold. Then, visit any participating Western Union® Agent location before the cutoff times listed below, pay for your flights in full, and we'll confirm your reservation. Once complete, you will receive an itinerary via email and will be able to visit jetblue.com to select your seats.

  • Western Union® bookings made online (jetblue.com) must be paid for and ticketed no later than (2) hours to scheduled departure.
  • Western Union® bookings made over the phone (1-800-JETBLUE) must be made at least two (2) days prior to scheduled departure and ticketed by midnight the next day.

Online Bookings

    • Online bookings are permitted from domestic and international (non-U.S.) points of sale
    • Customers may book travel online within two (2) days of departure and have up to two (2) hours to departure to complete purchase at a Western Union® location, otherwise booking will be auto-cancelled
    • If booking is outside two (2) days from departure, ticket must be issued by midnight the next day, otherwise booking will be auto-cancelled

Phone Bookings
Western Union® bookings made via 1-800-JETBLUE

    • Bookings from international (non-U.S.) points of sale are NOT currently available over the phone - only available for online bookings 
    • Western Union® Bookings must be made at least two (2) days prior to schedule departure. Ticket must be paid for and issued by midnight the next day, otherwise booking will be auto-cancelled

JetBlue Gift Cards

JetBlue Gift Cards may be redeemed on jetblue.com or by calling 1-800-JETBLUE(538-2583). Select TrueBlue from the option list for further assistance.


Forms of Payment for Travel Between the U.S. and Dominican Republic

Credit Cards

We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover Card, American Express Diners Club and UATP. Debit cards are accepted with one of the above-listed symbols on them.

Credit Cards must be able to be charged in US Dollars (USD). JetBlue does not yet have the ability to charge Credit Cards in foreign currency.

Please note: we currently do not accept payments with more than two credit cards online for a single reservation. If you need to pay with more than two credit cards for your reservation, please contact us at 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583).

Travel Bank

A credit held in a Customer's Travel Bank account can be used online at jetblue.com or over the phone by calling 1-800-JETBLUE

Cash Payment

We accept Dominican pesos; however, please keep in mind you will be charged the fare quote you were given in US dollars. Because the value of the peso fluctuates, the fare in pesos may be different than the fare you were quoted in pesos. Our fares do not change in US dollars.

We do not accept third party checks.


Paying with Prepaid Credit Cards
Customers may use prepaid credit cards/gift cards to pay for JetBlue flights. Please note, if you are booking online, you can only use one source of payment, so if your prepaid credit card balance is less than the amount of your purchase, you will not be able to complete your purchase online. A Reservations Crewmember would be happy to assist you with your purchase if you would like to use multiple sources of payment.

Cashless Cabin

JetBlue has partnered with LiveTV to create a “cashless cabin” environment on all our flights. LiveTV will supply us with handheld devices and the technology needed to accept credit cards for all onboard purchases, eliminating the need for any cash transactions. We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover Card, American Express, Diners Club and UATP.

Cash will no longer be accepted for onboard purchases.
