JetBlue is a Non Dangerous Goods or Hazmat carrier as outlined by OPSPEC - A004-3

Hazardous materials include, without limitation, any type of explosives, corrosives, poisons, flammable gases, liquids or solids, nonflammable compressed gases, radioactive materials, magnetized materials and oxidizing agents.

The following items are examples of hazardous materials or dangerous goods and are not allowed as carry-on items or in checked bags:

  • Chemicals
  • Chlorine for pools and spas
  • CO2 cartridges (including those in self inflating life vests)
  • Compressed gas cylinders (including fire extinguishers)
  • Dry ice (no more than 5.07 pounds is allowed in checked baggage and no more than 4.4 pounds is allowed in carry-on baggage)
  • Explosives
  • Fireworks
  • Flares
  • Gasoline
  • Gas torches
  • Liquid fuels
  • Liquid bleach
  • Lighter fluid
  • Magnetized materials
  • Oxygen tanks
  • Paint Paintball gun cylinders
  • Pesticides
  • Poisons
  • Radioactive materials
  • Spillable batteries (except those on wheelchairs)
  • Scuba tanks (neither full nor empty tanks are accepted)
  • Spray paint
  • Tear gas
  • Turpentine and paint thinner
