Forms of Payment for Flights Within the U.S.

Credit Cards

We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover Card, American Express, Diners Club and UATP. Debit cards are accepted with one of the above-listed symbols on them.

If you prefer to pay with cash, personal check, traveler's check or money order, you may contact a travel agent or book your reservation at the airport. Be sure to check the airport for the specific hours of operation.

Please note: we currently do not accept payments with two or more credit cards online for a single reservation. If you need to pay with two or more credit cards for your reservation, please contact us at 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583). Customers with hearing or speech impairments can call our toll-free TTY/TDD telephone number, 1-800-336-5530.

Personal Checks

If you wish to use a personal check to pay for your reservation, the reservation and payment will need to be made at the airport. The check must be written and signed by the checking account owner in the presence of a JetBlue airport crewmember.

Personal checks must be made payable to JetBlue Airways for the exact amount of purchase and must include imprinted name, mailing address and telephone number. A valid driver's license with picture (or valid passport) as personal identification is required.

Please note: Checks cannot be accepted with a lost ID police report.

Two party and three party checks are not accepted. A physical address must be pre-printed on the check, PO Box addresses are not accepted.

We do not accept third party checks.

Traveler's Checks

Traveler’s checks should be signed in front of a JetBlue airport crewmember. If your check is not signed in front of a JetBlue airport crewmember, a driver's license or passport will be required for signature verification.

Money Orders

Money orders should be from the U.S. Post Office or a bank. The money order must be made payable to JetBlue Airways and must be in the exact amount. Change will not be given for a money order

Bill Me Later®

Bill Me Later is a safe and convenient payment method offered through CIT Bank, Salt Lake City, Utah. It is available to US customers who are of legal age in their state of residence. It is subject to credit approval. Once approved, you’ll have 25 days from the date of the statement to pay for your purchase.

  • Subject to credit approval – designed for customers with average to good, existing credit
  • Approval decision is made in real time, just like a credit card purchase

  • Available to any US resident who is of legal age in their state of residence
    • Includes the District of Columbia, US Territories, and Puerto Rico. APO/FPO Military Addresses also accepted

PayPal™ is the safer, easier way to pay online. Speed through checkout whenever you shop online. Plus, pay with your credit card without exposing your credit card number.

Western Union®

Please note: Western Union is not available as a form of payment for JetBlue bookings online

JetBlue has teamed up with Western Union to accept cash for your JetBlue flights. Simply elect to pay with Western Union  and your booking will be placed on hold. Then, visit any participating Western Union® Agent location before midnight MT the next day, pay for your flights in full, and we'll confirm your reservation. Once complete, you will receive an itinerary via email and will be able to visit jetblue.com to select your seats.

Please note: we currently do not accept payments with more than two credit cards online for a single reservation. If you need to pay with more than two credit cards for your reseravation, please contact us at 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583).

Cash Payment

We accept Dominican pesos; however, please keep in mind you will be charged the fare quote you were given in US dollars. Because the value of the peso fluctuates, the fare in pesos may be different than the fare you were quoted in pesos. Our fares do not change in US dollars.

We do not accept third party checks.


Redeeming a Gift Certificate

If you received a JetBlue gift certificate and you’d like to redeem it, simply call our Reservation team within one year from the date of purchase. Please have your confirmation number located in the top right corner of the gift certificate. JetBlue gift certificates can only be redeemed for JetBlue air-only reservations.

Note that, depending on the value of your gift certificate, you may be required to provide an additional form of payment, or you may have a credit balance that can be used at a later date.

Gift certificates are nonrefundable. Changes or cancellations may be made prior to scheduled departure for a fee of $100 per person plus any applicable difference in fare. Any remaining fare will be placed into a JetBlue credit which is good for one year. Failure to cancel your reservation prior to flight departure may result in the forfeiture of all money associated with this reservation.

Gift certificates are valid for one year from the date of purchase, except where prohibited by law.


Courtesy holds for flights within the U.S.

We are an instant-purchase airline. The only way to lock in a quoted fare is to book and confirm your reservation at the time the fare is quoted.

We will allow customers paying for their reservation with Western Union® a courtesy hold until midnight MT the following day after booking (please keep in mind, Western Union® bookings must be made at least 48 hours prior to scheduled departure).

Note: Western Union is not be available as a form of payment for JetBlue bookings online.


Courtesy holds for residents of international destinations or Puerto Rico

We will allow customers originating and paying for their reservation in an international destination or Puerto Rico a courtesy hold until midnight the following day.

You may pay for held reservations with cash at the Airport ticket counter or the Santiago or Santo Domingo City Ticket Office (DO only). You may also pay for held reservations via telephone with a credit or debit card. Please note: There will be a $15 per person booking fee for all Customers who purchase their tickets at the city ticket office.

If you are calling inside of seven days of departure and wish to pay cash, you must go to the airport to book and pay for your reservation.

The courtesy hold is available only if you are booking outside of seven days of departure. For a courtesy hold, please call JetBlue Reservations. Spanish-speaking Customers can select the direct option for a Spanish-speaking agent or request to be transferred to a Spanish-speaking agent to place a reservation on hold.


Paying with Prepaid Credit Cards
Customers may use prepaid credit cards/gift cards to pay for JetBlue flights. Please note, if you are booking online, you can only use one source of payment, so if your prepaid credit card balance is less than the amount of your purchase, you will not be able to complete your purchase online. A Reservations Crewmember would be happy to assist you with your purchase if you would like to use multiple sources of payment.
