If your baggage has been delayed or damaged, it is important to make a baggage claim with a JetBlue crewmember while you're at the airport.

If you need to make the claim once you've left the airport, please call the JetBlue Baggage Service Office at the airport you flew into within four hours after arrival.

Boarding & Deplaning Options - FLL

Permitting weather and other circumstances, Fort Lauderdale may offer boarding and deplaning from both the front and back of the aircraft.

The option to board and deplane from the back is available for customers who are seated in the back half of the aircraft and for those who can comfortably ascend stairs.

All on site car rental agencies are centrally located in the Rental Car Center at the Cypress Garage. A shuttle bus service is provided by the airport to and from the Rental Car Center. Off site car rental agencies pick up customers at Bus Stop # 9 at the Rental Car Center.

Check-in & Gate Information - FLL

ticket counter hours and location

Our ticket counter is located in Terminal 3 and is open from 4:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m.

We recommend you arrive at the airport at least 60 minutes prior to departure for domestic flights, and 90 minutes prior to departure for international flights. Avoid delays by checking for traffic alerts, and allow enough time to go through TSA screening, particularly during holidays and peak travel days. Please note, JetBlue has cutoff times for baggage check in, and also for check in at the departure gate; JetBlue will not be responsible for expenses incurred due to late check in.

You will need a boarding pass to get through security. Our flights depart out of Concourse F.

check-in requirements for domestic travel

Government issued identification is required for all customers 18 years of age and over. Identification is not required for any person under the age of 18.

The name on the ID must match the name in the reservation. F

orms of valid identification for domestic flights are described below.

One form of photo ID, including:

  • Driver's license
  • Passport
  • Photo ID issued by a government agency
  • JetBlue Airways Corporation ID card

-OR-

Two forms of non-photo ID including:

  • Social Security card
  • Medicare/Medicaid card
  • Voters Registration card
  • Driver's license without photo
  • ID issued by a government agency

Customers traveling with an infant as a lap child may be asked for proof of age, such as a passport, birth certificate (copies are acceptable for domestic travel) or an immunization record when the infant's age is questionable. Infants between three and 14 days old must also have, in the form of a letter, their doctor's approval to travel.

Unaccompanied minors must check in at the ticket counter. An unaccompanied minor does not need photo ID. However, the adult dropping them off and picking them up will need photo ID. This adult must be named in the reservation.

Your confirmation number or itinerary may be helpful, but are not necessary to check in.

All reservations not paid for at least 30 minutes prior to departure are subject to cancellation.

check-in cut-off time

Checked baggage may not be accepted less than 30 minutes prior to the flight departure time. We will not be liable for any charges incurred for baggage that was checked late, nor will we be liable for delivery or compensation for late checked baggage.

If you are not checking bags, you may check in up to 20 minutes prior to scheduled departure and must be in the gate area at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure.

boarding cut-off time

Each customer must be onboard the aircraft 15 minutes prior to departure.

Any customer not onboard, even if they have checked in and received a boarding pass, may be denied boarding and will not be entitled to denied boarding compensation.

kiosk check in

If you have a confirmed reservation, feel free to use a kiosk machine to check in. You may check in using the kiosk no more than four hours prior to departure if you are checking baggage. Customers with no checked baggage may check in within 24 hours from their scheduled departure time. Kiosk check in is not available 30 minutes or less before departure.

You can retrieve your information and check in at a kiosk using one of the following methods:

  • Reservation number
  • Emailed itinerary with the bar code
  • Credit card with your name on it
  • TrueBlue number or email address and password if you're a TrueBlue member

In order to validate your boarding pass, you'll need to present it along with your photo ID at the gate.

Curbside Check In and Skycap

JetBlue is offering Curbside Check-in at Ft. Lauderdale Airport.

Once you've checked in at curbside your bags will be taken care of and you can head straight to security.

Please note, there is a $2 fee for curbside check in and is not currently available for international travel.


Check in & Pick Up Info for Unaccompanied Minors - FLL

Photo identification is required for both parties who drop off and pick up an unaccompanied minor. Unaccompanied minors will not be accepted without the guardian's photo ID.

When a gate pass is issued, it is the TSA's decision as to whether a young child, in addition to the unaccompanied minor, may pass through security with the adult.

drop off information

Parents/guardians who are dropping off their minors may leave the airport before the plane has left the gate as long as they have their cell phone number documented on the minor's reservation.

In the event of a gate return, a JetBlue Crewmember will contact the parent/guardian so that he/she can immediately return to the airport to meet their minor. Please note, the parent/guardian must request a gate pass at the airport ticket counter to pick up their minor at the departure gate.

pick up information

When picking up an unaccompanied minor, one person may receive a gate pass to proceed into the arrivals area to meet the minor. Please arrive at the airport no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled arrival.

The child will only be released to the person indicated on the unaccompanied minor form or on the reservation and that person must present their government issued photo ID.

ADA parking access

An ADA Parking Access Feature has been installed at all the parking facilities which allows motorists to access the parking lot without pulling a ticket. Vehicle information is recorded via speaker phone and remote camera and parking charges are calculated upon exiting the parking lot.

Designated disabled parking spaces are conveniently located in all parking facilities.

Wheel chair access to Terminal 3 is at the southwest corner of the Palm Garage, use level 1 or 4. Wheelchair parking for the Palm Garage is at the southwest corner, levels 1(short term parking), 2, 3 and 4. Shuttles operate continuously on level 1 between the Palm and Hibiscus Garages and all shuttle buses are wheelchair equipped.

High top van parking is available throughout the Garage Complex.

overnight parking

For overnight parking, you may choose between Park-n-Save or the Tower lot.

The Park-n-Save is located on S.W. 42 Street just west of I-95 and The Tower lot is located off Lee Wagener Boulevard next to the control tower. Both lots are fenced, lighted, have covered shelters and security patrols. Disabled parking spaces are located next to all shuttle stops.

Free accessible shuttles to the terminals operate every 15 minutes, 24 hours, seven days a week. The rate is *$6/day at both locations. The long-term lots fill up during holidays and peak periods.

hourly parking

Hourly parking is *$1/half hour, with a daily maximum rate of *$36.

Motorists picking up and dropping off customers are encouraged to use hourly parking.

Overnight parking is not permitted in the hourly lot. If you are parking overnight, plan to use the daily lot or the Park-n-Save lot.


Special Service Information - FLL

For your convenience, regular and oversized wheelchairs are available upon request. Electric carts are not available in the concourse area.
