ticket counter hours and location
Our ticket counter is in the U.S.A. Departures building. Counters are universal and are assigned every morning. The ticket counter is open from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
We recommend you arrive at the airport at least three hours prior to departure. Avoid delays by checking for traffic alerts, and allow enough time to go through security screening, particularly during holidays and peak travel days. Please note, JetBlue has cutoff times for baggage check in, and also for check in at the departure gate; JetBlue will not be responsible for expenses incurred due to late check in.
You will need a boarding pass to get through security. Gates are universal and are assigned each morning.
check-in requirements for international travel
Documents required for travel vary according to citizenship, residency, age (for minors), length of stay, purpose of visit, student status, etc. Please check for specific requirements for the country, or countries, you are visiting to make sure you have the correct documents.
Proof of return or onward travel, proof of sufficient funds (credit card), and documents required for next destination are required at the time of check in. Failure to provide such documentation will result in denied boarding. For customers returning to their country of origin, a one-way ticket is acceptable. Children traveling with a guardian other than a parent must have a notarized letter of permission in triplicate from both parents authorizing travel. A photo ID is also required. The letter must include the name of the person whom the child is traveling with.
If the child is traveling with only one parent, a notarized letter of permission is required from the other parent. If the parent is a sole custody parent, a "Sole Custody" or "Father Unknown" document is required.
If the child's last name is different from the last name of the accompanying parent(s), proof of parentage is required. Parental name changes must be verified with appropriate documentation (i.e., a marriage certificate). Customers traveling with an infant as a lap child are required to provide a passport for their child regardless of its age (including infants or newborns). Infants between three and 14 days old must also have, in the form of a letter, their doctor's approval to travel.
If the last name on your identification documents does not match the name on your reservation, you will be required to provide additional documentation such as a notarized marriage certificate, divorce decree, etc. as proof of identity.
