making a baggage claim

If your baggage has been delayed or damaged, it is important to make a baggage claim with a JetBlue crewmember while you're at the airport.

If you need to make the claim once you've left the airport, please call the JetBlue Baggage Service Office within four hours after arrival.

Boarding & Deplaning - LAS

Permitting weather and other circumstances, Las Vegas may offer boarding and deplaning from both the front and back of the aircraft.

The option to board and deplane from the back is available for customers who are seated in the back half of the aircraft and for those who can comfortably ascend stairs.

Check-in & Gate Information - LAS

ticket counter hours and location

Our ticket counter is located in Terminal 1 between Delta and AirTran and is open from 5:15 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. 

We recommend you arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes prior to departure. Avoid delays by checking for traffic alerts, and allow enough time to go through TSA screening, particularly during holidays and peak travel days. Please note, JetBlue has cutoff times for baggage check in, and also for check in at the departure gate; JetBlue will not be responsible for expenses incurred due to late check in.

You will need a boarding pass to get through security. Our flights will depart out of Gate D16. The kiosks in Las Vegas Airport do not accept checked baggage. However, there is a baggage drop for Customers using Online Flight Check-in.

check-in requirements for domestic travel

Government issued identification is required for all customers 18 years of age and over. Identification is not required for any person under the age of 18.

The name on the ID must match the name in the reservation.

Forms of valid identification for domestic flights are described below.

One form of photo ID, including:

  • Driver's license
  • Passport
  • Photo ID issued by a government agency
  • JetBlue Airways Corporation ID card

-OR-

Two forms of non-photo ID including:

  • Social Security card
  • Medicare/Medicaid card
  • Voters Registration card
  • Driver's license without photo
  • ID issued by a government agency

Customers traveling with an infant as a lap child may be asked for proof of age, such as a passport, birth certificate (copies are acceptable for domestic travel) or an immunization record when the infant's age is questionable. Infants between three and 14 days old must also have, in the form of a letter, their doctor's approval to travel.

Unaccompanied minors must check in at the ticket counter. An unaccompanied minor does not need photo ID. However, the adult dropping them off and picking them up will need photo ID. This adult must be named in the reservation.

Your confirmation number or itinerary may be helpful, but are not necessary to check in.

All reservations not paid for at least 30 minutes prior to departure are subject to cancellation.

check-in cut-off time

Checked baggage may not be accepted less than 30 minutes prior to the flight departure time. We will not be liable for any charges incurred for baggage that was checked late, nor will we be liable for delivery or compensation for late checked baggage.

If you are not checking bags, you may check in up to 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure and must be in the gate area at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure.

boarding cut-off time

Each customer must be onboard the aircraft 15 minutes prior to departure. Standby customers may be cleared at 10 minutes to departure. Any customer not onboard, even if they have checked in and received a boarding pass, may be denied boarding and will not be entitled to denied boarding compensation.

kiosk check in

If you have a confirmed reservation, feel free to use a kiosk machine to check in. You may check in using the kiosk no more than four hours prior to departure if you are checking baggage. Customers with no checked baggage may check in within 24 hours from their scheduled departure time. Kiosk check in is not available 30 minutes or less before departure.

You can retrieve your information and check in at a kiosk using one of the following methods:

  • Reservation number
  • Emailed itinerary with the bar code
  • Credit card with your name on it
  • TrueBlue number or email address and password if you're a TrueBlue member

In order to validate your boarding pass, you'll need to present it along with your photo ID at the gate.

Curbside Check In and Skycap

JetBlue will offer Curbside Check-in at Las Vegas McCarran International Airport.

Once you've checked in at curbside your bags will be taken care of and you can head straight to security.

Please note, there is a $2 fee for curbside check in and is not currently available for international travel.


Check in & Pick Up Info for Unaccompanied Minors - LAS

Photo identification is required for both parties who drop off and pick up an unaccompanied minor. Unaccompanied minors will not be accepted without the guardian's photo ID.

When a gate pass is issued, it is the TSA's decision as to whether a young child, in addition to the unaccompanied minor, may pass through security with the adult.

drop off information

Parents/guardians who are dropping off their minors may leave the airport before the plane has left the gate as long as they have their cell phone number documented on the minor's reservation.

In the event of a gate return, a JetBlue Crewmember will contact the parent/guardian so that he/she can immediately return to the airport to meet their minor. Please note, the parent/guardian must request a gate pass at the airport ticket counter to pick up their minor at the departure gate.

pick up information

When picking up an unaccompanied minor, please go to the ticket counter so that one person can receive a gate pass to proceed to the the arrivals area to meet the minor. Please arrive at the airport no later than 1 hour before the scheduled arrival.

The child will only be released to the person indicated on the unaccompanied minor form or on the reservation and that person must present their government issued photo ID.

Ground Transportation - LAS

inter-terminal shuttle

Free shuttle bus service is provided every 12 to 15 minutes between Terminal 1 and 2 is available during all hours of flight operations.

Bus Stops at Terminal 1 are located at the North and South ends of the center median of the Departures area. At Terminal 2, the bus stop is located directly in front of the ticketing lobby entrance.

long-term parking

Follow the green triangles, located on Levels 1M, 2, 2M, 3, 4, 5, and 6, for long-term parking which is available for *$3 for the first hour and *$1 each additional hour with a maximum of *$10 for each 24 hour period up to a 30 days.

Fees are paid at the tollbooth upon exit.

oversize parking

Follow the blue triangles, located adjacent to Terminal 1, for oversize (vehicles over 40 feet in length) parking which is available for *$6 for the first hour and *$3 each additional hour with a maximum of *$18 for each 24 hour period.

Fees are paid at the tollbooth upon exit.

short-term parking

Follow the yellow triangles, on Level 1 or the red triangles on Level 2M, to short-term parking which is limited to 3 hours at a rate of *$.25 for every 10 minutes and *$4.50 for the 3 hour maximum.

Fees are paid in advance through a parking meter (quarters only). Change machines are located in all short-term parking areas and are identified by green flashing lights.

uncovered parking

Follow the blue triangles, located adjacent to Terminal 1, for uncovered parking which is available at *$2 for the first hour and *$2 for each additional hour with a maximum of *$12 for each 24 hour period.

valet parking

Follow the red triangles on Level 2 for valet parking which is available for *$4 minimum for the first hour and *$1 each additional hour with a maximum of *$14 for each 24 hour period. (24 hours a day, seven days a week)
