Check-in & Gate Information - MCO

ticket counter hours and location

Our ticket counter is located on the A Side of Level 3 and is open from 4:15 a.m. until 12:30 a.m.

We recommend you arrive at the airport 90 minutes prior to departure for domestic flights, and at least three hours prior to departure for international flights. Avoid delays by checking for traffic alerts, and allow enough time to go through TSA screening, particularly during holidays and peak travel days. Please note, JetBlue has cutoff times for baggage check in, and also for check in at the departure gate; JetBlue will not be responsible for expenses incurred due to late check in.

You will need a boarding pass to get through security.

check-in requirements for domestic travel

Government issued identification is required for all customers 18 years of age and over. Identification is not required for any person under the age of 18.

The name on the ID must match the name in the reservation.

Forms of valid identification for domestic flights are described below.

One form of photo ID, including:

  • Driver's license
  • Passport
  • Photo ID issued by a government agency
  • JetBlue Airways Corporation ID card

-OR-

Two forms of non-photo ID including:

  • Social Security card
  • Medicare/Medicaid card
  • Voters Registration card
  • Driver's license without photo
  • ID issued by a government agency

Customers traveling with an infant as a lap child may be asked for proof of age, such as a passport, birth certificate (copies are acceptable for domestic travel) or an immunization record when the infant's age is questionable. Infants between three and 14 days old must also have, in the form of a letter, their doctor's approval to travel.

Unaccompanied minors must check in at the ticket counter. An unaccompanied minor does not need photo ID. However, the adult dropping them off and picking them up will need photo ID. This adult must be named in the reservation.

Your confirmation number or itinerary may be helpful, but are not necessary to check in.

All reservations not paid for at least 30 minutes prior to departure are subject to cancellation.

check-in requirements for travel to Puerto Rico

U.S. citizens are not required to have passports to enter Puerto Rico; however, proof of residency or citizenship is recommended for your return.

Proof of citizenship is:

  • A valid or expired U.S. passport (canceled passports are not acceptable)
  • Original U.S. birth certificate, and a government issued photo ID
  • U.S. citizenship papers U.S. naturalization papers
  • U.S. military ID

Proof of residency is:

  • State issued driver's license
  • State issued identification card Alien registration card (green card) which must be the form I-15512 card, the form I-151 is no longer valid.

Children who are under 15 years old and U.S. citizens may travel with their original U.S. birth certificate with the raised seal. Children over the age of 15 who are not U.S. citizens must hold their own passport.

If you will be departing from Puerto Rico to another Caribbean Island, with the exception of the U.S. Virgin Islands, you will be required to present proof of citizenship at the airline providing the transportation prior to departure in Puerto Rico, upon entry onto a cruise ship, at the port of entry, and prior to return.

check-in cut-off time

Checked baggage may not be accepted less than 30 minutes prior to the flight departure time. We will not be liable for any charges incurred for baggage that was checked late, nor will we be liable for delivery or compensation for late checked baggage.

If you are not checking bags, you may check in up to 20 minutes prior to scheduled departure and must be in the gate area at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure.

boarding cut-off time

Each customer must be onboard the aircraft 15 minutes prior to departure. Any customer not onboard, even if they have checked in and received a boarding pass, may be denied boarding and will not be entitled to denied boarding compensation.

kiosk check in

If you have a confirmed reservation, feel free to use a kiosk machine to check in. You may check in using the kiosk no more than four hours prior to departure if you are checking baggage. Customers with no checked baggage may check in within 24 hours from their scheduled departure time. Kiosk check in is not available 30 minutes or less before departure.

You can retrieve your information and check in at a kiosk using one of the following methods:

  • Reservation number
  • Emailed itinerary with the bar code
  • Credit card with your name on it
  • TrueBlue number or email address and password if you're a TrueBlue member.

In order to validate your boarding pass, you'll need to present it along with your photo ID at the gate.

Curbside Check In and Skycap

JetBlue will offer Curbside Check-in at Orlando International airport.

Once you've checked in at curbside your bags will be taken care of and you can head straight to security.

Please note, there is a $2 fee for curbside check in and is not currently available for international travel.


Check in & Pick Up Info for Unaccompanied Minors - MCO

Photo identification is required for both parties who drop off and pick up an unaccompanied minor. Unaccompanied minors will not be accepted without the guardian's photo ID.

When a gate pass is issued, it is the TSA's decision as to whether a young child, in addition to the unaccompanied minor, may pass through security with the adult.

Parents/guardians who are dropping off their minors may leave the airport before the plane has left the gate as long as they have their cell phone number documented on the minor's reservation.

In the event of a gate return, a JetBlue Crewmember will contact the parent/guardian so that he/she can immediately return to the airport to meet their minor. Please note, the parent/guardian must request a gate pass at the airport ticket counter to pick up their minor at the departure gate.

pick up information

When picking up an unaccompanied minor, one person may receive a gate pass to proceed into the arrivals area to meet the minor. Please arrive at the airport no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled arrival.

The child will only be released to the person indicated on the unaccompanied minor form or on the reservation and that person must present their government issued photo ID.

Orlando International Airport is located 9 miles southeast of downtown Orlando, at the junction of State Road 436 (Semoran Boulevard) and State Road 528 (Beeline Expressway). The most convenient access to the airport is:

from the North (Altamonte Springs, Sanford, etc.)

Take Interstate 4 to SR 417 (Greeneway) near Sanford to SR 417 (Greeneway) south. Take SR 417 (Greeneway) south to the Orlando International Airport. OR Take Interstate 4 west to SR 408 (East-West Expressway) in downtown Orlando to SR 408 (East-West Expressway) east. Take SR 436 (Semoran Boulevard) to SR 436 (Semoran Boulevard) south. Follow the signs to the Orlando International Airport. OR Take Interstate 4 west to SR 528 (Beeline Expressway) near International Drive/Lake Buena Vista to SR 528 (Beeline Expressway) east to the Orlando International Airport (Exit 11B).

Lynx buses are available on Level 1 of the Main Terminal, on the B side, in spaces B1, B2 and B3. They depart every 30 minutes to downtown Orlando and International Drive, from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. (less frequent on Sundays and holidays).

satellite parking

Uncovered, patrolled and fenced On-airport satellite parking (Blue, Gold, or Red lot) is available and requires an additional 30 minutes of travel time to the terminal.

Please follow road signs to whichever satellite parking lot is open.

Satellite Parking is *$3 for the first three hours, and *$4 for hours four through 24, with a maximum of *$7 per 24-hour period and a 10 minute grace period. Short or Long Term parking is allowed.

There is a free shuttle service every 10 minutes from the satellite parking lots to the main terminal (Ticketing/Departures) on Level 3 ( A and B).

Return shuttles depart from the commercial lane parking space A12 (on the A side) and B19 (on the B side) on Level 1 of the main terminal (one level below Baggage Claim/Arrivals). Check posted schedule for times.

Terminal garage parking is located on either side of the main terminal with signs to the entrance roads (no oversized (7 feet) vehicles allowed). After Parking, go to Level 3 (Ticketing/Departures) for flight departures.

The cost for terminal garage parking is *$1 per 30 minutes or part thereof, up to a maximum of *$15 per 24-hour period, with a 30 minute grace period.

Short-term or long-term parking is available and parking fees can be charged using American Express, MasterCard, or Visa.

For your convenience, regular sized wheelchairs are available upon request. Electric carts are not available in the concourse area.
