If your baggage has been delayed or damaged, it is important to make a baggage claim with a JetBlue crewmember while you're at the airport.

If you need to make the claim once you've left the airport, please call the JetBlue Baggage Service Office within four hours after arrival.

The baggage service office is open for one hour after each flight. A

Boarding & Deplaning Options - BDA
Bermuda has no jetbridges. All boarding and deplaning in Bermuda is done via the aircraft ramp. You will board and deplane on the aircraft ramp, then walk to or from the terminal in all weather. A boarding bridge will be used for cover in rainy weather. Bermuda does not participate in boarding or deplaning from the back of the aircraft.

Check-in & Gate Information - BDA

Our ticket counter is located in the middle of the Terminal next to Continental and is open from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

When leaving Bermuda we recommend you arrive at the airport at least two and a half hours prior to departure for the afternoon (12:05 p.m.) flight. We recommend arriving at the airport at least three hours prior to departure for the evening (5:45 p.m.) flight since all customers must be checked in before 4:45 p.m. in order to clear U.S. Customs.

Avoid delays by checking for traffic alerts, and allow enough time to go through security screening, particularly during holidays and peak travel days. Please note, JetBlue has cutoff times for baggage check in, and also for check in at the departure gate; JetBlue will not be responsible for expenses incurred due to late check in.

You will need a boarding pass to get through security. Our flights depart out of Gate Area B.

check-in requirements for international travel

Documents required for travel vary according to citizenship, residency, age (for minors), length of stay, purpose of visit, student status, etc. Please check for specific requirements for the country, or countries, you are visiting to make sure you have the correct documents.

Proof of return or onward travel and documents required for next destination are required at the time of check in. Failure to provide such documentation will result in denied boarding.

When traveling to/from Bermuda, minors who are unaccompanied or traveling with someone other than a parent or legal guardian must present a letter of authorization from a parent or legal guardian authorizing the minor to be accompanied by the adult traveling with the minor.

Customers traveling with an infant as a lap child are required to provide a passport or official birth certificate. Infants between three and 14 days old must also have, in the form of a letter, their doctor's approval to travel.

All customers must be checked in for their flight at least 60 minutes prior to scheduled departure.

We will not be liable for any charges incurred for baggage that was checked late, nor will we be liable for delivery or compensation for late checked baggage.

boarding cut-off time

Each customer must be onboard the aircraft 20 minutes prior to departure.

Any customer not onboard, even if they have checked in and received a boarding pass, may be denied boarding and will not be entitled to denied boarding compensation.

kiosk check in

Kiosk check in is currently not available for international travel.

skycap and curbside check in

We currently do not offer curbside check in at the Bermuda airport, but skycap service is available.


Check in & Pick Up Info for Unaccompanied Minors - BDA

Children 16 years of age and younger traveling alone or with someone other than a parent or legal guardian are required to hold a notarized parental letter of consent. This letter should be from the parent authorizing travel and should be accompanied with a copy of the parent's photo identification.

Photo identification is required for both parties who drop off and pick up an unaccompanied minor. Unaccompanied minors will not be accepted without the guardian's photo ID.

No gate passes are permitted.

JetBlue crewmembers will accompany the unaccompanied minor to the gate. We recommend that the parent or guardian remain at the airport until the flight has departed.

pick up information

Parents or guardians who are picking up an unaccompanied minor should wait outside of baggage claim. A JetBlue crewmember will accompany the unaccompanied minor from the gate to the baggage claim area. Please arrive at the airport no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled arrival. The child will only be released to the person indicated on the unaccompanied minor form or on the reservation and that person must present their government issued photo ID.

Directions to BDA

The Bermuda International Airport is three miles southwest of the town of St. George and St. George’s Parish, 10 miles east of the city of Hamilton, and 20 miles east of the Royal Naval Dockyard.

From all other Parishes, it is via Long Bird Bridge and the Causeway. It is between the waterways of Ferry Reach and Castle Harbor.

Buses are plentiful and service most areas of interest. A pole with a top that is pink (inbound to Hamilton) or blue (outbound from Hamilton) designates a bus stop.

Bus customers must have exact coin change. Bus tokens or books of bus tickets are available. A convenient "Transportation Pass" is available for one, three and seven days of unlimited use on the buses and ferries.

scooters

Bermuda Fly 'N Ride is available for scooter rentals directly from airport. Please abide by Bermuda's road rules to assure your safety. Driving on the left-hand side of the road. Speed limit is 35 kilometres per hour.

Children under 16 years of age may not drive motor scooters. All scooter drivers and passengers are required, by law, to wear safety helmets securely fastened at all times.

Short term car park is a pay and display parking area. Parking is available for *$1 per hour or any part thereof, up to a maximum of two hours. The machines accept major credit cards, Bank of Bermuda and Bank of Butterfield debit cards and coins.

Long term car park is a pay and display parking area. Parking is available for *$5 per day or any part thereof. The machines accept major credit cards, Bank of Bermuda and Bank of Butterfield debit cards and coins.

We currently do not have a jetbridge available; therefore all boarding is done via the airstairs.

Both regular and oversized wheelchairs are available upon request.

An elevator is available to get to different levels.

A wheelchair lift is used for customers in a wheelchair or for those who are unable to ascend stairs.

TTY phones are available at the Bermuda airport.

An information desk is available near baggage services and Immigration. It is open from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.
