If your baggage has been delayed or damaged, it is important to make a baggage claim with a JetBlue crewmember while you're at the airport.

If you need to make the claim once you've left the airport, please call the JetBlue Baggage Service Office at the airport you flew into within four hours after arrival.

The Baggage Service Office is open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

If you’re following up on a baggage claim, Central Baggage Services can be reached from 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. MT Monday through Friday and from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at 1-866-538-5438.

Permitting weather and other circumstances, St. Maarten may offer boarding and deplaning from both the front and back of the aircraft.

The option to board and deplane from the back is available for customers who are seated in the back half of the aircraft and for those who can comfortably ascend stairs.

Alamo, Avis, Best Deal, Budget, Flamingo, Hertz, Lucky, Paradise, National, Sinshine, Thrifty, and United have on-site information counters in the main lobby.

Our ticket counter is located in the lobby and is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

When leaving St. Maarten we recommend you arrive at the airport at least two hours prior to departure for the afternoon (12:05 p.m.) flight.

Avoid delays by checking for traffic alerts, and allow enough time to go through security screening, particularly during holidays and peak travel days. Please note, JetBlue has cutoff times for baggage check in, and also for check in at the departure gate; JetBlue will not be responsible for expenses incurred due to late check in.

You will need a boarding pass to get through security.

check-in requirements for international travel

Documents required for travel vary according to citizenship, residency, age (for minors), length of stay, purpose of visit, student status, etc. Please check for specific requirements for the country, or countries, you are visiting to make sure you have the correct documents.

Proof of return or onward travel and documents required for next destination are required at the time of check in. Failure to provide such documentation will result in denied boarding.

When traveling to/from St. Maarten, minors who are unaccompanied or traveling with someone other than a parent or legal guardian must present a letter of authorization from a parent or legal guardian authorizing the minor to be accompanied by the adult traveling with the minor.

Customers traveling with an infant as a lap child are required to provide a passport or official birth certificate. Infants between three and 14 days old must also have, in the form of a letter, their doctor's approval to travel.

All customers must be checked in for their flight at least 60 minutes prior to scheduled departure.

We will not be liable for any charges incurred for baggage that was checked late, nor will we be liable for delivery or compensation for late checked baggage.

boarding cut-off time

Each customer must be onboard the aircraft 20 minutes prior to departure.

Any customer not onboard, even if they have checked in and received a boarding pass, may be denied boarding and will not be entitled to denied boarding compensation.

kiosk check in

Kiosk check in is currently not available for international travel.

skycap and curbside check in

We currently do not offer curbside check in at the St. Maarten airport, but skycap service is available.

Although electric carts are not available, there is an elevator which can accommodate a battery-powered wheelchair or scooter.
