American Express Cardmembers enrolled in the Membership Rewards program can earn points that may be transferred for Award Flights on JetBlue. American Express Cardmembers must be enrolled in the Membership Rewards program, their Card account must be active and in good standing and they must also have a TrueBlue® account with JetBlue.

The Membership Rewards program is entirely owned and managed by American Express. For more information on the Membership Rewards program, please contact American Express.

TrueBlue is JetBlue's way of showing you gratitude for traveling with JetBlue. With TrueBlue you can enjoy faster and easier booking, advance notice of special promotions and fare sales, and the ability to choose the information you want from JetBlue. Plus, you'll also earn Award Flights.

American Express Cardmembers can enroll their eligible Card in the Membership Rewards program by contacting American Express at 1-800-AXP-EARN (1-800-297-3276) or visiting membershiprewards.com.

American Express Cardmembers who are enrolled in the Membership Rewards program can register for JetBlue's TrueBlue program by going to jetblue.com/trueblue. TrueBlue registration may also be completed by visiting membershiprewards.com.

The following steps will take you through the registration process on the Membership Rewards program website. 

1. You will begin the registration on the Membership Rewards program site by entering your name, email, phone number and address.
2. You will receive a temporary password for your TrueBlue account. This password will be your Membership Rewards program number which usually begins with a “1” followed by an “M”. You will then proceed to the JetBlue website and complete your TrueBlue registration. After logging in to your TrueBlue account with your temporary password you will be prompted to change the password. You will then complete your registration by clicking on the Terms and Conditions and choosing your city preferences.

Please note, multiple TrueBlue accounts may be linked to one Membership Rewards account. When transferring points, you can choose which TrueBlue account you would like the points to go to.

You can redeem TrueBlue points for Award Flights on jetblue.com.  Please contact American Express to determine the conversion from Membership Rewards points to TrueBlue points.

Please note: Due to a JetBlue system outage, the following requests made on the membershiprewards.com website or by calling Membership Rewards after 12pm EST Friday January 29th will be delayed until 6pm EST Tuesday February 2, 2010:

• Enrolling in the TrueBlue program
• Linking any American Express account to a TrueBlue account
• Transferring Membership Rewards points to TrueBlue points 

1. Prior to transferring points or making an Award seat reservation, you must first link your Membership Rewards account to your TrueBlue account. Linking your Membership Rewards and TrueBlue accounts can be done by phone at 1-800-AXP-EARN (1-800-297-3276) or by clicking here.
2. To check Award seat availability before transferring points, visit jetblue.com/awards and select the “TrueBlue points” fare selector or call 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583). Please specify that you are interested in Award seat availability. You must transfer Membership Rewards points into your TrueBlue account before booking your reservation. Award travel booked over the phone is subject to a $15 booking fee.
3. If Award seats are available, click here and select the “Transfer this amount” button above to transfer Membership Rewards points to your TrueBlue account. Transfers are normally immediate, but please allow up to 48 hours.  
4. You must transfer Membership Rewards points into your TrueBlue account before booking your reservation.

Please Note: In order to link your accounts you will need to enter your first and last name, along with your TrueBlue number. The TrueBlue number and last name must match the TrueBlue database exactly. After this is confirmed, the TrueBlue account will be “linked.” Once your TrueBlue and Membership Rewards accounts are linked, you may visit jetblue.com/awards or call JetBlue to check Award seat availability before transferring points.
