**Travel advisory**

Please be advised, due to the current multi-billion dollar airport modernization project on the Central Terminal Areas at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) customers should plan accordingly to allow more time to get to/from LAX. Up-to-date construction traffic alerts related to LAneXt™ can be found at http://www.laxishappening.com/.

The following tips will help you plan your next trip to LAX:

  • Before driving to LAX, check for construction-related alerts at http://www.laxishappening.com/ and for real-time traffic conditions
  • Take public transportation to/from LAX, including the inexpensive and convenient LAX FlyAway® nonstop bus service at Union Station, Van Nuys, Westwood and Irvine Station.  
  • If picking up, park and wait in the LAX Cell Phone Waiting Lot until your arriving party calls to say they are waiting curbside in the Central Terminal Area. The Cell Phone Waiting Lot is located at the northwest corner of 96th Street and Vicksburg Avenue, adjacent to the entrance of LAX Economy Parking Lot C at 96th Street and Sepulveda Boulevard. 
  • If picking up, save gas and reduce traffic congestion by parking your vehicle and waiting inside the terminal for your party.

Cut-off Time for Checking In
  • If you're not checking bags, you must check in no later than 30 minutes* prior to scheduled departure for domestic flights and 60 minutes for international flights
  • Checked baggage will not be accepted more than six (6) hours ahead of scheduled departure time, nor less than 40 minutes (domestic) and 60 minutes (international) prior to departure 
  • All customers must be onboard the aircraft 15 minutes prior to scheduled or posted departure time for domestic and international flights.

JetBlue is not liable for any charges incurred for baggage that was checked late, nor liable for delivery or compensation for late-checked baggage.


LAX - Boarding & Deplaning Options

All boarding and deplaning in LAX is done via jetbridge. LAX does not participate in boarding or deplaning from the back of the aircraft.


LAX - Special Service Information

Pet Relief Area
The post-TSA Pet Relief Area in Terminal 5 is located next to Gate 51B.

There is also a Pet Relief Area outside of the Terminal across the street, next to the Terminal 5 Parking Garage.

UMNR Pick up and Drop off Areas
Please come to the LAX Ticket Counter for check in and pick up of an Unaccompanied Minor (UMNR).

If picking up a UMNR after the Ticket Counter is closed, please proceed downstairs to the LAX Baggage Service Office for pick up. 

We will only issue a Gate Pass to the Drop off/Pick up person listed in the Reservation. Gate Passes cannot be issued if TSA is closed – the UMNR will be brought to the Baggage Service Office by a JetBlue employee. Please note that the Drop off person must remain with the UMNR in the terminal until the flight departs
