Cut-off Time for Checking In
  • If you're not checking bags, you must check in no later than 30 minutes* prior to scheduled departure for domestic flights and 60 minutes for international flights
  • Checked baggage will not be accepted more than six (6) hours ahead of scheduled departure time, nor less than 40 minutes (domestic) and 60 minutes (international) prior to departure 
  • All customers must be onboard the aircraft 15 minutes prior to scheduled or posted departure time for domestic and international flights.

JetBlue is not liable for any charges incurred for baggage that was checked late, nor liable for delivery or compensation for late-checked baggage.

UMNR Pick up and Drop off Areas
UMNR Pick up Area: Parent/Guardian will be contacted by agent and met outside arrivals terminal to be escorted to immigration/customs.
UMNR Drop off Area: Parent/Guardian to drop UMNR at counter to check-in. UMNRs escorted inside terminal at check-in close-out.


BGI - Boarding & Deplaning Options

Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI) does not have a jetbridge and all boarding is done via the airstairs. A wheelchair lift is used for customers in a wheelchair or for those who are unable to ascend stairs.

Permitting weather and other circumstances, BGI may offer boarding and deplaning from both the front and back of the aircraft.


BGI - Traveling to Barbados with Pets/Service & Emotional Support Animals

Due to the strict requirements mandated by the Jamaican government for transport of live animals, we will NOT accept animals, including service/emotional support animals, on any flight to / from Barbados.
