POS - Traveling to Trinidad & Tobago with Pets/Service & Emotional Support Animals

Due to the strict requirements mandated by the local government for transport of live animals, we will NOT accept pets on flights to / from Trinidad and Tobago.

Only Service and Emotional Support Animals are allowed on flights to Trinidad and Tobago. Entry requirements for any animal (including service and emotional support animals) are very restrictive.

Dogs and cats may only enter Trinidad and Tobago if they are fully compliant with the import requirements. All of the steps, guidelines and the application form for a permit to import dogs and cats can be requested by contacting the head office of the Animal Production and Health Division, Ministry of Food Production, Trinidad and Tobago. Possession of a valid Import Permit does not guarantee entry.

All animals and documents are subject to examination at the port of entry by an approved inspector. Inspections must be pre-arranged by the Customer. Should the animal fail to meet entry requirements, it will be either re-exported or euthanized.

The head office of the Animal Production and Health Division, Ministry of Food Production reserves the right to refuse entry of any animal for any reason.

POS - Check-in & Pick-up Info for Unaccompanied Minors

We recommend children 16 years of age and younger traveling alone or with someone other than a parent or legal guardian hold a notarized parental letter of consent. This letter should be from the parent authorizing travel and should be accompanied with a copy of the parent's photo identification. In the case of organized group travel, a letter is not necessary; it is assumed that the chaperone has obtained prior permission.

Click here for specific entry/exit and documentation requirements for minors based on origin and destination country.

Photo identification is required for both parties who drop off and pick up an unaccompanied minor. Unaccompanied minors will not be accepted without the guardian's photo ID.

Drop-off information

When dropping off the unaccompanied minor, the parent/guardian may NOT leave the airport until the following criteria are met:

  • The parent/guardian has a signed copy of the UMNR form
  • The UMNR is onboard the aircraft
  • The parent/guardian's name, address and cell phone number are all documented on the minor's reservation

In the event of a gate return, a JetBlue crewmember will contact the parent/guardian so that he/she can immediately return to the airport to meet their minor.

Pick-up information

When picking up an unaccompanied minor, please wait outside of the Customs Hall and arrive at the airport no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled arrival.

The child will only be released to the person indicated on the unaccompanied minor form or on the reservation and that person must present their government-issued photo ID.
