Boarding and deplaning is done via jetbridge at Reno-Tahoe International Airport.
Photo identification is required for both parties who drop off and pick up an unaccompanied minor (UMNR). UMNRs will not be accepted without the guardian's photo ID.
When a gate pass is issued, it is the TSA's decision as to whether a young child, in addition to the UMNR, may pass through security with the adult.
Drop off information
When dropping off the UMNR, the parent/guardian may NOT leave the airport until the following criteria are met:
In the event of a gate return, a JetBlue crewmember will contact the parent/guardian so that he/she can immediately return to the airport to meet their minor. Please note, the parent/guardian must request a gate pass at the airport ticket counter to pick up their minor at the departure gate.
When picking up a UMNR, one person may receive a gate pass to proceed into the arrivals area to meet the minor. Please arrive at the airport no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled arrival.
In cases where a flight arrives after the ticket counter is closed, the pick up person should proceed directly to baggage claim to meet the minor.
The child will only be released to the person indicated on the UMNR form or on the reservation and that person must present their government-issued photo ID.
For your convenience, regular and oversized wheelchairs are available upon request. Electric carts are not available in the concourse area.
Pet Relief Area The Reno-Tahoe International Airport is proud to offer a special kind of customer service feature that caters to man’s (and woman's) best friend. We are proud to have not one, but three dog parks to serve our four-legged passengers.
Since 2004, Gate K-9 Bark Park has provided a convenient place where passengers traveling with their pets can give their dogs a restroom and water break. The Bark Park is fully fenced, with ADA accessibility, running water, mutt mitts to clean up after dogs, a fire hydrant and a canopy for inclement weather.
The original Gate K-9 Bark Park is located north of Baggage Claim. Exit Door D by ground transportation and follow the sidewalk paw prints to the Bark Park. In 2012, a second dog park opened for passengers flying out of Reno-Tahoe International with their pet. It is located south of the terminal building, just outside of the Southwest Airlines Ticket Counter.
In 2017, Reno-Tahoe International Airport opened an indoor pet relief area, conveniently located post-security on the second floor of the terminal building, across from McDonalds. This indoor pet relief area allows passengers traveling with service animals a place, within walking distance from the airline gates, where pets can relieve themselves before a flight.
Reno-Tahoe International welcomes the four-legged, furry passengers who visit the airport and we’re sure Gate K-9 will help keep those tails a waggin’.
UMNR Pick-up and Drop-off AreasFor UMNR pick up/drop off please check in at the JetBlue ticket counter (at the South End of the main terminal) at least 60 minutes prior to scheduled arrival/departure.
TTY/TDD PhonesPhones are available at the airport Productivity Centers for those who are deaf or hard of hearing. These phones offer free local phone service and each location is ADA accessible.
For customer convenience, there are two Productivity Centers on the second floor. One is located on Concourse C across from Max's Eatz near Gate C1 and one is on Concourse B in the Gate B2 area. There is also a TTY/TDD phone located on the first floor of the terminal in Baggage Claim near the restrooms, across from carousel #5.
